CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe woman was arrested early April 7 following a reported domestic disturbance on Steele Street.
According to the Chillicothe Police Department, officers were dispatched to 106 Steele Street at approximately 2:40 a.m. in reference to a disorderly incident.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with multiple individuals at the scene who alleged that Pat Martin had become aggressive while they were drinking together. One individual reported that Martin bit him on the ear and choked him, while another stated she attempted to calm Martin down before the situation escalated further.
Despite the allegations, officers reported they did not observe visible injuries consistent with a physical altercation.
Witnesses also stated that Martin used offensive racially charged language and attempted to strike one of them with a table, though she was unsuccessful. It was further alleged that Martin broke a glass cup during the incident.
Officers later located Martin inside a white van outside the residence. According to the report, she displayed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, poor balance, and the odor of alcohol. Martin admitted to drinking but denied intentionally harming anyone.
Due to conflicting statements and lack of visible injuries, officers determined there was insufficient evidence to pursue an assault charge.
However, Martin was taken into custody and transported to the Ross County Jail, where she was booked for:
Disorderly Conduct – Intoxication Creating Risk of Harm (M4)
She was later issued a summons to appear in Chillicothe Municipal Court on April 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
Note: All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
