Columbus Man, 20, Charged With Five Felonious Assault Counts in Franklin County

Five felonious assault counts lead a seven-count felony case filed against a 20-year-old Columbus man who was arraigned Friday in Franklin County Municipal Court.

Sincere Corbin is charged in case 2026 CR A 018271 with five counts of felonious assault, all second-degree felonies, one count of discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises, a third-degree felony, and one count of improperly discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, a second-degree felony, according to court records. In a companion case, 2026 CR A 017558, he is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, a fourth-degree felony.

Each felonious assault count alleges harm caused or attempted by means of a deadly weapon or ordnance. The arraignment sheet does not describe the underlying incident, and no further facts were available in the court record Friday. Franklin County Sheriff’s Office records show Corbin was arrested on October 22, 2026, and booked into the Franklin County jail, where companion misdemeanor assault and domestic violence cases are also listed. Bond had not been set in the felony cases as of his arraignment in courtroom 4D.

Corbin is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Felony cases filed in municipal court are typically presented to a Franklin County grand jury, which decides whether to issue an indictment and move the case to the Court of Common Pleas.
