CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A woman was taken into custody Saturday evening, October 24, 2026, after Chillicothe Police officers discovered her behind the wheel of a heavily damaged vehicle at Yoctangee Park.
According to a Chillicothe Police Department report, officers Joseph Gay and Brayden Woodbridge responded to 19 Enderlin Circle at approximately 9:35 p.m. following a complaint involving a suspicious vehicle and reckless driver.
Upon arrival, officers located a white Lincoln with significant front-end damage sitting in the grass near the park’s pump house. The vehicle was reportedly disabled and not running.
Police identified the driver as Bryanna Randall, who was seated behind the wheel with her seat fully reclined. Officer Gay reported that Randall exhibited slurred speech and that he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.
According to the report, Randall was instructed multiple times to exit the vehicle but initially refused to comply. Officer Woodbridge also reported observing an open bottle of Burnett’s Vodka on the floorboard while Randall was moving her purse.
Officers eventually removed Randall from the vehicle and placed her in handcuffs. Police reported detecting a strong odor of alcohol coming from her during the encounter.
While officers were investigating, a group of teenagers approached and reported that they had been dropped off at the skate park when they noticed the damaged Lincoln parked in the grass. The teenagers told officers that Randall had been unresponsive when they approached the vehicle, prompting them to knock harder on the windows.
According to police, Randall eventually spoke with the teenagers and told them she was okay and not to contact anyone.
Randall refused standardized field sobriety testing, a portable breath test, and a chemical test, according to the report.
She was transported to the Ross County Jail and booked in on a charge of having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence, a violation of Ohio Revised Code 4511.194.
Officers also issued Randall traffic citation #58991 and advised her of a scheduled appearance in Chillicothe Municipal Court on October 26, 2026, at 9 a.m.
The police report additionally noted that a criminal history check indicated Randall had a previous physical control conviction dated August 22, 2024.
The damaged Lincoln was removed from the park by Angles Towing.
