Circleville Police Warn of Counterfeit Pumpkin Show Passes Being Sold Online

If someone online is trying to sell you a Pumpkin Show pass, it is a fake. The Circleville Police Department says the passes are never sold at all.

Officers said they were notified that an online source has been selling counterfeit passes ahead of this year’s show, which opened today in downtown Circleville and runs through Saturday. The passes in question are the off-street parking permits the department issues free each year to residents whose property sits inside the show boundaries.

The real permits are picked up in person at the police department lobby, 151 E. Franklin St. They are not available for purchase through any website, social media platform or third-party seller, the department said.

Police are asking anyone who bought a pass online, or who comes across a site claiming to sell one, to contact the department. Officers are also asking residents to share the warning so others do not lose money.

Admission to the Pumpkin Show itself is free. The festival, billed as “The Greatest Free Show On Earth,” runs through Saturday, Oct. 24.
