CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio: One of the two women charged in a Pickaway County death investigation is now in jail. Tammy May Stroud was booked into the Pickaway County Jail at 9:10 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, two days after court records listed her as wanted on a warrant.
Two women face charges from the same October 13 incident. The court filings do not describe what happened that day and do not identify the person who died. Here is where each case stands, side by side.
Tammy M. Stroud, 52, of Orient
Stroud is charged in three companion cases filed Friday, October 16, in Circleville Municipal Court: complicity to involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, complicity to endangering children, and complicity to possession of drugs. The jail roster lists her booking charges as involuntary manslaughter, endangering children, and possession of drugs involving a fentanyl-related compound. She was booked Sunday night and is held at the Pickaway County Jail. No bond amount was listed on the roster Sunday night, and her first court appearance is still to come.
Brittany M. Stroud
Brittany Stroud faces the principal counts in three companion cases from the same Friday filings: involuntary manslaughter, endangering children, and possession of drugs. The complaints in both women’s cases were filed by a detective with the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office. As of Sunday night, she was not listed on the Pickaway County Jail roster.
Heritage Headlines has requested the criminal complaints from the court and the incident report from the sheriff’s office and will update this story when those records are released.
