CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio: Two women were charged Friday in Circleville Municipal Court with felony counts tied to an October 13 incident in Pickaway County, and court records show a warrant has been issued in one of the cases.
Brittany M. Stroud is charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering children and possession of drugs in three companion cases filed October 16.
Tammy M. Stroud, 52, of Orient, is charged in three companion cases with complicity to involuntary manslaughter, complicity to endangering children and complicity to possession of drugs. The complicity to manslaughter count is a first-degree felony.
The complaints were filed by a detective with the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office. Court records in Tammy Stroud’s case list her status as wanted on a warrant, and neither woman was listed on the Pickaway County Jail roster Saturday morning.
The court filings do not describe what happened on October 13 and do not identify the person who died. Heritage Headlines has requested the criminal complaints from the court and the incident report from the sheriff’s office and will update this story when those records are released.
