WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio. A Grove City man was taken to jail Wednesday, Oct. 7, after Scioto County deputies say he swung a knife around inside a house on Terrace Road and threatened the people living there.
Frank Andrew Moll, 48, was booked into the Scioto County Jail on a charge of aggravated menacing.
According to sheriff’s office dispatch records, a supervisor at a residential facility called 911 at 2:45 p.m. and said one of the residents had a knife and was swinging it around inside the house and threatening others. The caller said the house had been cleared of everyone else and the man was the only one still inside.
Deputies arrived about six minutes later. The report says a residential advisor told them he had gotten everyone out of the house. Dispatch logs show the man was detained and read his rights, and was then taken to jail while deputies gathered statements. No injuries were listed in the records released.
The sheriff’s office said the case is still under investigation.
A case is pending in Portsmouth Municipal Court, court records show.
Charges are allegations, not a conviction. Moll is innocent until proven guilty.
