A Circleville woman was arrested Saturday evening for returning to a local grocery store after being previously ordered to stay away.
Officer Verduga responded to the Kroger on Lancaster Pike around 8:07 p.m. Sept. 26 on a trespassing complaint. Dispatch confirmed Dominique Rochelle Russell, 34, of Circleville, had an active trespass order from the store stemming from a prior case.
A store employee told officers Russell had entered the business multiple times that day wearing a black hoodie and was asked to leave each time. The employee called police after recognizing her as someone previously banned. Officer Verduga located Russell walking westbound on Watt Street a short time later.
Russell told the officer she did not know she was trespassed. She was placed under arrest for criminal trespass (entering the land or premises of another) and transported to the Pickaway County Jail.
According to the report, all information was collected at the scene and the arrest completed without further incident.
As always Russell is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. All charges remain allegations until proven guilty.
