Pike County residents can learn more about the major redevelopment tied to a planned large-scale data center campus this evening.
When and where is the meeting?
The community open house runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at the Pike County Fairgrounds Multipurpose Building in Piketon.
What will be discussed?
Organizers plan information stations on the PORTS Project overview, economic development, transportation and infrastructure, energy, community benefits, and county resources, plus a station for public feedback. The event is framed as part of the county’s broader Pike 2040 planning effort to guide growth. The PORTS Project involves redevelopment of the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site as the PORTS Technology Campus. This includes a public-private partnership announced earlier involving SoftBank’s SB Energy and AEP Ohio for power generation and grid upgrades to support a large-scale data center campus.
