The 79th Millersport Sweet Corn Festival is underway through Sept. 5 at the festival grounds in Millersport.
The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is participating, including the opening-day parade. Sheriff Alex Lape invited residents to stop by the office tent, meet deputies, and visit with staff.
The annual event, organized by the Millersport Lions Club, features free admission, midway rides, tractor pulls, contests, live music, and the festival’s signature sweet corn. This year’s lineup includes Diamond Rio on Friday night and Little River Band on Saturday night at the Brookover-Harlow Pavilion. Other activities include a 5K run, queen pageant, hay bale decorating, and a $10,000 drawing. Parking is $15.
