Chrome and Thunder Roll Through Southern Ohio: 5th Annual Kenworth Truck Parade Lights Up Chillicothe This Saturday

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Southern Ohio’s Ross County is set to roar with pride as the Kenworth Assembly Plant hosts its 5th Annual Kenworth Truck Parade in historic downtown Chillicothe on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The invitation-only event will feature around 50 meticulously selected custom and historic Kenworth trucks from across North America, many of which were built right here at the Chillicothe facility. Drivers from 23 states are expected, bringing rigs that highlight craftsmanship, patriotic themes tied to America’s 250th anniversary, and milestones like 50 years of the iconic Aerodyne Sleeper design.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early. Street closures in the downtown area begin at 4 p.m., with trucks staging on Walnut and Water Streets around 7:45 p.m. for public viewing and photo opportunities. The parade route proceeds east on Water Street to Mulberry, south to East Second Street, and west back to North Walnut, with announcers providing details at stages along the way.

This free, family-friendly celebration in Ohio’s First Capital highlights the region’s manufacturing heritage and strong trucking community. Food trucks and open local businesses will line the route, and a free community concert follows the parade. United Way of Ross County serves as the charity partner, with activities supporting local programs.

The event draws visitors to Ross County and adjacent southern Ohio areas, boosting local tourism and community spirit. For road closure details and updates, residents should check official City of Chillicothe or local news sources.

This annual tradition underscores Chillicothe’s role as a hub for “the World’s Best Trucks” and continues to strengthen ties across southern Ohio.
