Ross County Man Returned to Jail on Probation Violation Warrant

A Ross County man is back behind bars after authorities arrested him on a probation violation warrant issued through Ross County Common Pleas Court.

According to jail records, Jimmy Lee Violette Jr., 36, was booked into the Ross County Jail on May 29, 2026, following his arrest by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.

Records show Violette is being held on a probation violation warrant, indicating prosecutors or probation officials allege he failed to comply with conditions previously imposed by the court. The specific allegations leading to the violation were not immediately available.

Probation violations can result in additional sanctions, modification of supervision conditions, or the imposition of a previously suspended prison sentence, depending on the circumstances of the case and the court’s findings.

At the time of booking, no bond information or court disposition had been entered into the jail system.

Violette remains incarcerated in the Ross County Jail pending further proceedings in Ross County Common Pleas Court.

As with all criminal matters, the allegations contained in the warrant have not been proven in court, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
