Columbus Woman Indicted, Arrested on Felony Charge for Conveying Drugs into Detention Facility

A Ross County grand jury has indicted a Columbus woman on a felony charge related to drugs being brought into a correctional facility.

According to court records, Aakiyah C. Robinson, of Columbus, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto the Grounds of a Detention Facility, a third-degree felony under Ohio law.

The indictment was filed on March 27, 2026, and a warrant was subsequently issued for Robinson’s arrest. Court records indicate that the warrant was served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on April 30, 2026.

The charge stems from allegations that Robinson knowingly attempted to convey drugs of abuse into a detention facility or onto its grounds.

As of now, the case remains open and has been assigned within the Ross County Court of Common Pleas system. A judge has been listed in the case, though docket entries show the matter was recently transferred within the court system.

No additional details regarding the circumstances of the alleged offense were immediately available in public records.

Robinson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law
