ROSS COUNTY, OH — A Greenfield woman convicted in a felony case has been granted judicial release following a court hearing held this week.
According to court records, Arlene M. Landman, 56, was previously convicted of Tampering with Evidence (ORC 2921.12), a third-degree felony, in Ross County Common Pleas Court.
Landman was admitted to the Ohio Reformatory for Women on September 10, 2025, to serve a stated prison term of 1.5 years, with 40 days of jail-time credit.
Court records show that a motion for judicial release was filed on January 22, 2026. A hearing on that motion was conducted on April 8, 2026, before Judge Michael Ater.
Following the hearing, the court filed a criminal disposition sheet granting judicial release, effectively allowing Landman to be released from incarceration prior to the completion of her full sentence. Court costs were assessed to the defendant.
Additional entries indicate that a warrant for removal had been issued prior to the hearing, and that all necessary documentation, including sentencing records, had been processed through the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
Landman’s original projected release date had been listed as January 29, 2027, prior to the court’s decision.
Conditions of her judicial release were not immediately detailed in the available records.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. (Note: conviction already entered in this case)
