Warrant Issued for Orient Woman in Circleville Assault After Dog-Related Dispute

Circleville, Ohio. – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 31-year-old woman from Orient in connection with an assault reported on East Ohio Street in Circleville on June 16, 2026.

According to a Circleville Police Department report, officers responded to the block of East Ohio Street around 5:10 p.m. after a call about an assault. The victim told officers she had been assaulted by Alexis Harrell-Giffin of Orient. The victim reported minor injuries but declined medical treatment.

The report states that Harrell-Giffin arrived at the residence to pick up her dog. A dispute occurred, child custody was allegedly mentioned, and then escalated into a physical altercation. The victim alleged she was grabbed by the hair and punched. Officers documented the scene, and gathered statements.

A subsequent photo lineup was conducted on June 17, 2026. The victim identified Harrell-Giffin as the person responsible with 100 percent certainty, according to supplemental reports completed by department officers.

The case is classified as assault under Ohio Revised Code 2903.13.
