Circleville, Ohio. – Circleville police are investigating an assault that was recorded and posted on TikTok, along with a related charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
According to the Circleville Police Department report, Officer Hopkins was dispatched around 2:30 a.m. on June 16, 2026, to Clinton Street in reference to an assault complaint. On scene, officers spoke with a woman who reported that a juvenile had been assaulted by several other juveniles and that a video of the incident had been posted on TikTok.
The reporting party directed officers to the video and told them to watch it. In the video, the juvenile victim is seen being assaulted by other juvenile females. The victim sustained a swollen arm and several knots or bumps on her head. Officers photographed the injuries and uploaded them.
The reporting party submitted the TikTok video link to evidence.com. After reviewing the footage further, officers observed a juvenile female wearing a blue shirt striking the victim in the head. The video then shows a second incident in an alleyway in which the same juvenile female, now wearing a gray hoodie, strikes the victim again. That portion was posted on TikTok under a specific username.
The case includes two offenses: assault under Ohio Revised Code 2903.13 and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles under Ohio Revised Code 2907.31. The investigation remains open.
The reporting party was offered the option to be evaluated by EMS but chose to wait and see if evaluation was needed later.
