The Pike County Duck Hunt is back for September with a custom Dolly Parton duck, complete with big hair, glamorous makeup, and what organizer Mark Fielder calls “star power.”
Fielder, a Pike County photographer who runs MF Photography, hides 3D-printed ducks around the county and invites residents to find them. Find one and you keep it. Hunters are asked to post a photo with #MFPDucks.
This is not a wildlife hunt and not a parks department program. It is a free community scavenger hunt Fielder created to get people outside, support local spots, and give Pike County something light to look for. He prints the ducks himself. Some have been placed near parks, shops, and other everyday stops. Ducks have also been connected to Ugly Duckling Consignment for people who want one without waiting on a hide.
An Aug. 30 update pointed people to a pinned comment for the latest rules. The September duck is themed after Dolly Parton, who died Aug. 25, 2026, at age 80. Ohio has a long tie to her Imagination Library book program.
