Two felonious assault counts and a firearm discharge count make up the felony case filed against a 21-year-old Columbus woman who was arraigned Saturday in Franklin County Municipal Court.
Aissatou Sarr is charged in case 2026 CR A 018110 with two counts of felonious assault, both second-degree felonies alleging harm caused or attempted by means of a deadly weapon or ordnance, and one count of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation, also a second-degree felony, according to court records.
The arraignment sheet does not describe the underlying incident, and no further facts were available in the court record Saturday. Franklin County Sheriff’s Office records show Sarr was arrested on October 23, 2026, and booked into the Franklin County Corrections Center at James A. Karnes (booking 20261023063), with all three counts listed on her booking. Bond had not been set as of her arraignment in courtroom 4D.
Sarr is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The case is expected to go before a Franklin County grand jury, which will decide whether to indict and transfer it to the Court of Common Pleas.
Heritage Headlines is seeking the police report in this case and will update this story as records are released.
