Wednesday Night Is Tournament Volleyball Night in the Valley

Wednesday night is a big night for high school volleyball in our area. Six matches involving local teams are set for Wednesday, October 21, 2026, all of them district quarterfinals, and all of them starting at 6:00 p.m.

Winners move on to the district semifinals next week. Losers see their seasons come to an end, which is what makes tournament nights like this one so much fun to follow.

Adena hosts Piketon, 6:00 p.m.

Zane Trace hosts Minford, 6:00 p.m.

Westfall hosts Portsmouth, 6:00 p.m.

Huntington at Portsmouth West, 6:00 p.m.

Waverly hosts River Valley, 6:00 p.m.

Hillsboro hosts Chesapeake, 6:00 p.m.

Several of these matches pair neighbors against each other, and the home gyms should be loud. If you are heading out, get there a little early for a good seat, and bring some noise for your team.

We will be watching the scores as they come in Wednesday night and will share results as they are reported. Good luck to all of our local teams as the tournament run continues.
