District tournament soccer takes over Thursday evening, October 22, with five quarterfinal matches involving local teams. Every match listed here starts at 6:00 p.m.

Unioto hosts Gallia Academy

Unioto plays at home against a Gallia Academy team that is coming in hot. Gallia Academy beat Hillsboro 5 to 0 on Tuesday to reach the quarterfinals.

Piketon plays at Circleville

Piketon makes the trip to Circleville for a quarterfinal between two Pickaway and Pike County neighbors who know each other well.

Waverly plays at Logan Elm

Waverly heads to Logan Elm on Thursday night. The winner keeps its tournament run going into next week.

Westfall plays at South Point

Westfall goes on the road to South Point for its quarterfinal match.

Portsmouth plays at Minford

Portsmouth travels to Minford to close out the list of local quarterfinals.

There was local news on Tuesday as well. Zane Trace beat Western of Latham 3 to 0 to advance. Chillicothe and Hillsboro were both eliminated on Tuesday. Chillicothe lost 4 to 0 at Sheridan, and Hillsboro lost 5 to 0 to Gallia Academy.
