Madison-Walnut Road Closed for Culvert Work Through Nov. 13

Drivers who use Madison-Walnut Road in Pickaway County will need another route for the next few weeks.

The Pickaway County Engineer has the road closed between Winchester Road and Ett-Noecher Road for a culvert replacement. The closure runs through November 13, 2026.

A culvert carries water under the road, and replacing one means crews have to open the road up to get the old pipe out and the new one in. That kind of work cannot be done with traffic passing through, so the road is closed at the work site while the job is finished.

If Madison-Walnut Road is part of your regular drive to work, school, or appointments, plan on using another route until the work wraps up. Give yourself a few extra minutes, especially during morning and afternoon travel times when other county roads carry more traffic.

Slow down near the closure and watch for signs and workers in the area. We will update this brief if the Pickaway County Engineer announces a change to the schedule or the road reopens early.
