FRANKFORT — The Adena Youth League’s third and fourth grade football team is going somewhere the program has not been in a while.

The young Warriors have reached the JV Super Bowl, the league championship game, for the first time in more than five years.

Head coach Dakota Speakman’s team is 7-1 this season, playoffs included. Their only loss all year came against Jackson Red, and Jackson Red has not lost a game all season.

That is who is waiting on Saturday. Adena will face Jackson in the Super Bowl on October 24 at 4 p.m. at Gardner Park Stadium, 100 East Circle Avenue in Washington Court House. It is a rematch, against the one team that beat them, with a championship on the line.

For kids this age, it does not get much bigger than that.

Thanks to Kaylee Speakman for sending this in, and to Jennifer VanCuren Photography for the team photo.

If you are heading to Washington Court House on Saturday, send us the final score and a photo or two after the game and we will run the follow-up. Youth teams across our coverage area can send their news the same way, anytime.

Good luck, Warriors.
