Ross County

The Ross County Commissioners have a full day planned for their Tuesday meeting, starting at 9 a.m.

The morning highlight comes at 10:30, when Nick Rose of the Public Works Commission meets with the board about a flooding emergency. Details beyond the agenda line are not public yet, but flooding has been a recurring concern in low-lying parts of the county.

At 11, the county opens bids for the Ross County Jail security upgrades project. Bid openings are public, and the numbers will tell us what the project is expected to cost.

The afternoon belongs to the budget. The commissioners hold a budget review session covering the Engineer’s office at 1, IT at 1:30, and their own office at 2.

Earlier in the day, the board hears from Brian Kelley of the ODNR Division of Forestry at 9:45 and from ADAMH (the county’s alcohol, drug addiction and mental health services board) at 10.

The commissioners are Jack Everson, James Lowe, and David Glass. The full agenda is posted on the Ross County website.
