ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County man facing two separate felony cases was arrested again Saturday morning on new domestic violence and assault charges, according to jail and court records.
Darian Wesley Detty was arrested at approximately 5:54 a.m. on September 26 and booked into the Ross County Jail shortly after 6 a.m. Jail records list two new first-degree misdemeanor charges: domestic violence — knowingly causing physical harm and assault — knowingly harming a victim. The jail listing showed no bond entered on either charge at the time of the record reviewed.
The arrest comes while Detty has two pending felony cases in Ross County Common Pleas Court.
In case 26CR000152, Detty is charged with second-degree felony felonious assault under Ohio Revised Code 2903.11. Court records show the case was filed in April and that a $100,000 surety bond was posted on April 22.
Detty is also facing third-degree felony failure to comply under Ohio Revised Code 2921.331 in case 26CR000208. Court records show he was subsequently released on an own-recognizance bond in June. Conditions listed by the court included that Detty not operate any motor vehicles and report weekly as part of pretrial supervision.
Both felony cases remain listed as reopened, with court records showing a status conference scheduled for October 19, 2026.
The new arrest does not by itself establish that Detty violated the conditions of either bond. Any determination regarding his pretrial release would be made by the court.
All charges are allegations unless and until proven in court, and Detty is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
