Vinton County Residents Asked to Report Flood Damage After Southern Ohio Flooding

VINTON COUNTY, Ohio: Following significant flooding across parts of Southern Ohio, the Vinton County Emergency Management Agency is asking residents who experienced flooding or flood-related damage between September 19 and September 22, 2026, to report that damage to the county.

Vinton County EMA says the information will help document the local impact of the flooding and assist with damage assessments and disaster documentation related to potential FEMA Individual Assistance.

Residents are encouraged to report damage even if they do not have an exact dollar amount or all of the requested information.

How to Report Flood Damage

Residents who experienced damage should:

1. Provide your name and property address.
2. Include a phone number or email address where you can be reached.
3. Give the date the damage occurred.
4. Describe the flooding and damage to the property.
5. Identify which areas of the home were affected.
6. List major appliances or essential items that were damaged.
7. Indicate whether the home was evacuated or temporarily uninhabitable.
8. Attach photographs of the damage, if available.
9. Provide an estimated dollar amount of damage, if known.
10. Include any additional photographs you have from the flooding incident.
