Circleville, Ohio. Circleville police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in the 100 block of Dunmore Road on June 16, 2026, after a son brought a female acquaintance into the home.
According to the police report, officers were dispatched at 11:27 a.m. after a complaint of a domestic dispute at the home. Officer Harrell arrived on scene and observed the mother and her son arguing in the front yard.
The son told officers he had brought a female acquaintance to the home to change clothes and use the restroom. The mother became upset because the woman was a stranger to her. The situation involved a verbal argument. The son stated that the mother had delivered a “motherly” slap. The mother stated she had raised her hand but never slapped him.
The son also argued with a 25-year-old male resident at the address who was described in the report as autistic. Officer Harrell and assisting Officer Massie confirmed that no physical altercation occurred between any of the involved parties.
The son told officers that family tensions were high because his father had passed away two weeks earlier and everyone was grieving. He also disclosed that he had been dealing with suicidal thoughts in recent weeks but stated he did not have such thoughts that day. Officer Harrell provided information about available resources and warned the son that he could face a disorderly conduct charge if he did not leave the residence.
While officers remained on scene, the 25-year-old male resident began experiencing a medical emergency. He fell to the ground clutching his chest. Circleville EMS responded and transported him to Berger Hospital. Officers cleared the scene without further incident.
