A Chillicothe man is being held in the Ross County Jail after authorities served an indictment warrant stemming from a felony drug case.
According to Ross County Common Pleas Court records, 55-year-old Darren Weaver Mosley was indicted on June 26, 2026, on one count of Possession of Cocaine, a fourth-degree felony under Ohio Revised Code 2925.11. Court records show prosecutors requested the issuance of a warrant upon indictment, which was subsequently issued by the court.
The warrant was served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on July 2, 2026. Jail records indicate Mosley was booked into the Ross County Jail later that day and is currently being held without bond. In addition to the felony cocaine possession charge, jail records list a probation violation hold.
Court documents show Mosley appeared for arraignment on July 2, where a recognizance of the accused was filed and a commitment order was entered. The case remains pending before Judge Michael M. Ater.
A criminal pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 31, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. in Ross County Common Pleas Court.
As with all criminal cases, the charge against Mosley is merely an accusation, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
