Roger Jones, 71, of Portsmouth, was taken into custody at the scene. He has been charged with Trafficking in Drugs and Possession of Drugs, both third-degree felonies under Ohio law.
Jones was booked into the Scioto County Jail and was scheduled to appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court for arraignment on July 2. Authorities stated the case will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office for presentation to a Scioto County Grand Jury, where additional felony charges may be considered.
