Jelly Roll Files for Divorce from Wife Bunnie XO After Nearly 10 Years of Marriage

Country music star Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie XO, ending a marriage that lasted nearly a decade.

According to court records, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed the paperwork on May 18, 2026, in Williamson County, Tennessee. The filing cites irreconcilable differences, with a listed date of separation of May 9, 2026.

Sources close to the couple described the decision as mutual and emphasized that it remains a private family matter. Representatives for both have not publicly commented.

The couple met in 2015 at one of Jelly Roll’s concerts in Las Vegas. They secretly married in a courthouse ceremony in August 2016 and renewed their vows in 2023.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO (real name Alisa DeFord) have been open about challenges in their relationship, including a brief separation in 2018 following Jelly Roll’s admitted infidelity. They reconciled and have spoken publicly about their efforts to strengthen their bond.

The pair share parenting responsibilities for Jelly Roll’s two children from previous relationships: daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah Buddy. They have had full custody of Bailee for several years.

In recent years, the couple discussed plans for expanding their family through IVF and surrogacy, and they appeared together at public events, including the 2026 Grammy Awards, where Jelly Roll emotionally thanked his wife during his acceptance speech for Best Contemporary Country Album.

News of the filing has drawn significant attention from fans, many of whom expressed surprise given the couple’s public resilience through past difficulties.
