KINGSTON, Ohio — A Facebook post by a concerned citizen indicating a sex offender lived in close proximity of Kingston Park lead to an inquiry by Hopewell Heritage Headlines. After researching publicly available information it was discovered that not one but two registered sex offenders are currently listed as residing on South Main Street in Kingston, within close proximity to Kingston Park, according to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office sex offender registry.
The individuals, identified as Christopher Bryan McGraw and Justin Matthew Cox, are both classified as Tier II sex offenders under Ohio law.
Registry records show both individuals living on South Main Street in Kingston, placing them near the public park, which is frequently used by families and children.
According to court records, Cox was convicted in 2016 of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony offense in Ohio. The case was filed in Pickaway County and later closed following a conviction.
No details of McGraws case could be located at this time.
Under Ohio law, Tier II sex offenders are required to register their address with authorities and verify that information every 180 days.
