SCIOTO COUNTY DRUG CASE: CHARLESTON WOMAN ARRESTED YEARS AFTER INDICTMENT

A West Virginia woman is facing multiple serious felony drug charges following the execution of an arrest warrant earlier this year.

According to records from the Scioto County Common Pleas Court, Attaya M. Green, born in 1992 and listed with an address in Charleston, West Virginia, was indicted on several charges including:

Two counts of Conspiracy (Felony 2) Two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (Felony 1) One count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Felony 2)

Court records indicate the indictment was originally filed on February 5, 2019, with a warrant issued the following day to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

A return filed on February 9, 2026, shows the warrant was served on February 7, 2026, bringing Green into custody on the case.

During a court appearance on February 19, 2026, Green entered a plea of not guilty. The court also determined she was indigent and appointed legal counsel.

A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for March 18, 2026 at 3:30 p.m.

Green is represented by Portsmouth attorney Shawn Stratton, while the case is being prosecuted by the State of Ohio through the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office.

As with all criminal cases, Green is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
