19-Year-Old Arrested After Teen Shot in Hebron

HEBRON, Ohio — Authorities in Licking County are investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old boy critically injured late Friday night.

According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, officers with the Hebron Police Department and deputies from the sheriff’s office responded around 11:30 p.m. on March 6, 2026, to the 100 block of Wooster Street for a report of an unknown emergency.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 16-year-old male inside a bedroom suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Fire and EMS personnel provided medical aid at the scene before transporting the victim to Mount Carmel East Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives responded and began an investigation that included interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence.

During the investigation, authorities interviewed 19-year-old Aiden Boone, identified as the victim’s older brother. Boone was subsequently arrested and charged with Felonious Assault in connection with the shooting.

Boone was transported to the Licking County Justice Center following his arrest.

The investigation remains ongoing.

As with all criminal cases, the charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
