CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Three women were arrested Tuesday evening after police say a drive-thru employee was assaulted during two separate confrontations at a Chillicothe business.
According to a report from the Chillicothe Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 5:07 p.m. on March 4, 2026, to the Expressway Drive Thru located at 1032 E. Main Street after a report that the employee had been assaulted.
Initial Confrontation
According to the police report, the incident began when Erica M. Copp, 43, arrived at the drive-thru in a silver Ford Explorer and became involved in a confrontation with a female employee inside the business.
Investigators later reviewed surveillance footage which reportedly showed a physical altercation between Copp and the employee inside the cashier’s office area. Police say the video showed pushing and a brief struggle before the two separated.
According to the report, Copp then left the business following the initial confrontation.
Second Assault
Police say the situation escalated when Copp returned to the business a short time later with two additional women.
The women were identified as:
• Ashley Dawn Litteral, 38
• April K. Conschafsky, 56
According to the report, surveillance footage shows the three women entering the business and confronting the employee inside the cashier’s office.
Investigators reported that during this second incident the employee was punched, kicked, and pulled by the hair as the suspects allegedly assaulted her. Officers noted in the report that the victim was largely unable to defend herself due to the number of people involved.
Police say the second assault lasted approximately two minutes before the suspects left the building.
Police Investigation
Responding officers located the suspects sitting in the silver Ford Explorer parked across the street near Houch’s Liquor Store.
Officers observed that Copp had swelling around one of her eyes, which she told police occurred during the earlier confrontation.
According to the report, Copp told officers the incident stemmed from a personal dispute involving a relationship conflict.
Surveillance Footage
Police say surveillance video from inside the business showed two separate incidents.
The first involved a physical confrontation between Copp and the employee inside the cashier’s office.
The second incident reportedly shows Copp returning to the business with Litteral and Conschafsky, where the three women allegedly assaulted the employee.
Investigators wrote that the video showed the victim being struck multiple times and dragged during the altercation.
Arrests
After reviewing witness statements and surveillance footage, officers determined there was probable cause to arrest all three women.
According to the report:
• Erica Copp was charged with Aggravated Burglary – Inflict Harm
• Ashley Litteral was charged with Aggravated Burglary – Inflict Harm
• April Conschafsky was charged with two counts of Aggravated Burglary – Inflict Harm
Police say the aggravated burglary charges stem from the suspects allegedly entering a restricted employee area of the business while committing the assault.
All three women were taken into custody and transported to the Ross County Jail.
Police also noted that the suspects were barred from returning to the Expressway Drive Thru at the request of the business owner.
Court Appearance
The suspects were scheduled to appear in Chillicothe Municipal Court on March 5, 2026 for their initial hearing.
As with all criminal cases, the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
