Piketon, Ohio — The Piketon High School girls powerlifting team has claimed first place in the Division 5 Girls Division at the 2026 Western & Southern Best of the Best Ohio State Powerlifting Championships.
Announcements from the Piketon Powerlifting community highlight the team’s victory, describing it as a back-to-back achievement in this prestigious southern Ohio event. The win celebrates the hard work and strength of the Redstreaks athletes and coaching staff.
This success follows Piketon’s strong performance in prior years, including their runner-up finish in Division 5 at the 2025 state championships with a team total of 12,150 pounds, as reported by the Ironton Tribune. Coal Grove took the team title that year with 13,380 pounds.
The 2026 championships, held in Coal Grove, showcased competitive talent from across the region, with Piketon’s girls emerging as Division 5 champions.
