A Chillicothe man is currently being held in custody at the Ross County Jail while facing multiple drug-related charges across separate cases.
According to court records, Brett Christopher Barnhart, 40, of Chillicothe, is facing charges including attempted corrupting another with drugs, a third-degree felony, as well as possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
In a separate case, Barnhart has also been charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, also a fifth-degree felony.
Jail records show Barnhart was taken into custody on March 27, 2026, and remains held at the Ross County Jail. Bond in one of the cases was set at $5,000 cash or surety, while additional charges include allegations of corrupting another with drugs by force or threat.
The cases remain active in Ross County Common Pleas Court, with court proceedings ongoing.
