WOODSFIELD, Ohio — Monroe County detectives arrested a Beallsville man on multiple felony child pornography charges after a cyber tip sparked an investigation, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Gregory J. Valkovic, 52, of Beallsville, was taken into custody February 23, 2026, when detectives executed a search warrant at a Monroe County residence. Officers located personal electronic devices inside the home that contained evidence of child pornography. Those devices were seized and later analyzed, uncovering additional evidence.
Following review of the reports, the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office charged Valkovic with two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, a second-degree felony, and four counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, also a second-degree felony.
Valkovic is being held at the Monroe County Jail on a $100,000 bond with no 10 percent option.
“Child exploitation is not a victimless crime. Behind every file is a child who has suffered abuse. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office will continue to dedicate the necessary resources to investigate these cases thoroughly and hold offenders accountable. The safety and well-being of our children will always remain our top priority,” stated Monroe County Sheriff Derek Norman.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
