LATHAM, Ohio: Western Pike Local Schools announced Monday that its eighth grade volleyball team finished the season undefeated in Southern Ohio Conference Division II and won the league championship.
The championship trophy reads "2026 SOC II 8th Grade Champions," and the team posed with it at the school as it took its place in the trophy case.
An undefeated run through league play is no small thing at any level. It is a credit to the players and their coach, and to the families who filled the bleachers all fall.
A framed team photo now sits in the case alongside the trophy, and the young Indians’ perfect season will stay on display at the school for years to come.
Congratulations to the Western Pike eighth grade volleyball team on a perfect season.
