Ross County, Ohio. Deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office discovered two bodies inside a residence in the 100 block of Waugh Road on July 7, 2026.
The discovery followed a welfare check requested on July 6, 2026, shortly before 9 p.m. for a female living at the home. Deputies responded to the Ross County address but could not make contact with anyone inside. An investigation began at that point.
On July 7, investigators obtained a search warrant and entered the residence. They located the two bodies during the search. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification was called to the scene to process evidence.
The bodies are now in the care of the Ross County Coroner’s Office. The individuals have not been positively identified.
Sheriff George W. Lavender Jr. stated in a news release that the evidence points to a domestic-related incident between the two residents of the home. The release noted there is no threat to the community.
The investigation continues. More details will be released when available.
